Wolf vs Goat is a small menswear brand built around fabric. It sources cloth and yarn from Italian mills. Tailors in Italy, Portugal and the United States finish the clothes. Prices run from about $100 for a tee to $500 and up for knitwear and trousers.
A quick note before the picks. We have not worn Wolf vs Goat yet. Everything below comes from the brand’s own product pages and policies, checked on October 13, 2026. If we try a piece, we will update this guide with what we find.
Who is behind Wolf vs Goat
Mauro Farinelli founded Wolf vs Goat in 2010, after a background in fashion, according to the brand’s About page. He started small, with a line of artisan-made button-down shirts. The brand later added specialist dyeing, sustainable fibers and a wider range of clothing.
The pitch is simple. It always begins with the fabric. The team looks for unusual materials from small mills and adds a clean design. Tailors and seamstresses finish each piece.
What makes it different
Named mills on the label
Most brands say “Italian fabric” and stop there. Wolf vs Goat names the mill on many product pages. A few examples from the current range:
- Drago: the Italian mill behind its cotton and wool corduroy trousers.
- Zegna Baruffa: the spinner of the Cashwool merino yarn in its cardigans.
- Albiate: the cotton mill behind its Italian oxford shirt.
- Loro Piana: the Pecora Nera cloth in its Lorenzo trousers, a wool, silk and linen blend.
Named mills let you check the claim. They also tell you where the money goes.
Trousers built to be altered
The selected trouser listings should be checked for their exact inseam and whether hemming is required. A tailor finishes them to your length. The corduroy pair also has a waistband that can be let in or out, per Wolf vs Goat. Budget for hemming when you compare prices.
Knit specs you can read
The knitwear pages list gauge and ply, which few brands publish. The wool crewneck is a 12 gauge, 4 ply knit in 15 to 15.5 micron wool. For more on reading specs like these, see our natural fiber clothing guide.
The membership and made to order
Wolf vs Goat runs a paid membership. It costs $20 a month or $175 a year, per the membership page. Members get:
- Member pricing on eligible full-price clothing, online and by appointment.
- Member pricing on made-to-measure garments.
- Made-to-order pieces with no made-to-order premium.
- Early access to pre-orders, limited runs and group buys.
The page does not list the member discount as a percentage. Check the price in your cart before you pay for a year. Final sale items are excluded, and member pricing does not stack with other offers.
Shipping and returns
Orders ship within 1 to 5 business days, per the brand’s shipping policy. The brand estimates USPS transit at 2–5 days for most US items and about 6–10 business days internationally, after processing; customs and other delays can extend it.
Returns are tighter than at most brands we cover:
- You have 14 days from delivery.
- Items must be unwashed, unworn and unaltered.
- Refunds come back minus the shipping cost.
- Sale items and promo code orders get an exchange or store credit.
- Ordinary purchases at 30% off or more are final sale; the return policy expressly treats eligible member-discount purchases differently.
- Made-to-measure and made-to-order pieces cannot be returned.
Email the brand’s concierge address first. Returns sent without approval are not accepted.

Is Wolf vs Goat worth the price?
That depends on what you value. You pay more than at most brands we cover. For comparison, Todd Snyder’s cashmere crewneck was $328 when we checked in September. In return, Wolf vs Goat names its mills, lists gauge and ply, and makes most pieces in Italy.
The tradeoffs are real too. Trousers need hemming. Sizes sell out. Returns are short and come back minus shipping. If you know your size and care about fabric, it is worth a look. If you want easy returns, start with the henley or a sweatshirt.
How to wear it
- Corduroy and a knit: the chocolate cords, a cream crewneck and brown suede boots. Add a corduroy jacket in a lighter shade on cold days.
- Shawl cardigan as a jacket: the Cocoa Powder cardigan over a white tee with dark jeans.
- Florida fall: the Roberto linen trousers, the bamboo henley and loafers.
- Weekend: the raglan sweatshirt with chinos and white sneakers.
